OK, so I was wondering in the forest not being able to see because of the trees.  I heard that the packers where coming down the hill to go to an event called Old Spanish Days Fiesta.  What they were talking about I did not know.  The old time packers told me it was an equestrian parade that had been going since before my mother was born, and Mother is not young, she was born in 1927 (don't let her know I posted this here).  Since, it included dancing and music, I knew I had to go. One of the benefits of teaching is that I have many young friends. One young friend is nearest and dearest in my heart. She is wonderfully brilliant, responsible, beautiful, playful, and spunky. I am blessed to have watched her go from a cocky and brainy student to a successful business woman.

She is going through a hard time and when I asked her to blog with me she gracefully declined. It is easy for me to understand because I am the same way. When I am in a tough place, I go within and shut the door. I consider it a healthy way to incubate change. Read more
