One of the benefits of teaching is that I have many young friends. One young friend is nearest and dearest in my heart. She is wonderfully brilliant, responsible, beautiful, playful, and spunky. I am blessed to have watched her go from a cocky and brainy student to a successful business woman.

She is going through a hard time and when I asked her to blog with me she gracefully declined. It is easy for me to understand because I am the same way. When I am in a tough place, I go within and shut the door. I consider it a healthy way to incubate change. Read more
